Blue Spangled Birds, Imposisibility?

I was assuming that quality of rooster: what hens would you put him over?

(Assuming, in fact, this guy, whose lacing is a bit better than this photo, taken in glaring sun this afternoon, shows).

I was hoping that was one answer, since I do have SSH; I need to be a year further into that breed, or borrow that roo for one breeding (he's next door, and was a present from me to my cousin via BYC sources).

OK, well, that's me settled, sort of; nice to have reinforcement to do what I wanted to do anyway (funny how it worked out, eh?)

On the other hand, are there other paths to take to get a blue spangled chicken, or, to be obnoxiously inquisitive, other patterns on blue which are not currently easy to find? More blue porcelain, for instance, would be a very nice thing (I'm still having covetous dreams of the pearl* Brahmas nicalandia posted photos of).

So now I've got a question-

You metioned Ml and Pg are basically linked.


If so then how can you explain/what is the difference between a Spangled Hamburg and Laced Sebright? I always thought right there was it - Ml and Pg VS Ml.

spangled E^R Db-Ml-Pg (all 3 are linked) co+ hf+
sebright E^R Db-Ml-Pg Co Hf
polish E^R Db-Ml-Pg Co hf+

You can't work with Db. This would result in groundcolor leakage (columbian like restriction). Not documented though.

well after further review I believe it could have some effect, but if based on silver this become less noticeable
