Blue swedish

Just thought I would share some pictures. I bought a blue swedish at the local Cal Ranch store tonight. s/he is a sweetie; It'll take some time to get used to my crazy runner/khaki though! Any thoughts on names?

I'd guess that your duckling is going to have a pretty small bib with perhaps some sparse blotchiness extending down the chest. I say that because her bib isn't solid yellow and has a lot of blue underneath the top layer of down. Anything that is not solid yellow all the way to the skin at hatch will not go white in the adult feathering. I'd be really keen to see pics of this little one at about 5 to 6 weeks old - you should have a much clearer idea then of what the bib will end up like.

Whats the personality like on the Swedish 70%cocoa? We just aquired a blue as well from my daughters class and havent really seen much on their temperment etc.... They are cute as heck tho lol! Congrats on your cutie ducklover!

I've got one Swedish, a black, and she's the quietest and most laid-back of the 4 I have (Welsh Harlequin and hybrid layer are the others).
