Hello! I have a beautiful Blue Wheaten Ameracauna rooster. I was wondering what the offspring might look like if I cross him with my rhose island red hens. Thanks!

I hatched a few chicks from this exact cross several years ago. I don’t have photos anymore, but the chicks basically looked like very light RIRs with fluffy faces. Some had blue tail feather tips instead of black, depending on whether they inherited the blue dilution gene or not.

Thank you for replying! This is the look I am hoping for 😍

The hens will be a color between wheaten and red columbian (color of the RIR). Half will have blue and the other half will have black. The roosters will either look like leaky wheatens (wheaten with extra red leakage on their chest) or leaky red columbians (red with some black/blue feathers on their chest). Half of them will be blue.
