Crossing the Road
So I bought her today from someone that I tend to trust to know her chickens she raises, and she sold her as a true Ameraucana in blue wheaten coloring. I honestly don’t care what she is—she is beautiful and very sweet—but I posted pics of her on the Ameraucana Breeders Facebook page and they declined her and said she’s just an EE. So now I’m confused and wondering if she is actually an EE? She’s got blue throughout her feathers, is this what makes her not a wheaten? I’m rather unable to tell on my own I guess! She has slate colored legs, she lays a pretty blue egg, she has a muff and beard…so I am thinking it’s just the coloring that’s off? Oh well, I just love her and I’m happy to have her. Just wanting to learn so I know what to look for next time!
What would her parentage be to get this coloring if an EE? It is just so pretty!
