Blue Wheaton Ameraucana or EE cockerel?

Hi, everyone.

I purchased some fertilize eggs this year from an Ameraucana breeder (Blue Wheaten) but she also threw in a few EE eggs.

My question...is my handsome, super sweet and gentle (20-week old) cockerel a blue wheaten Ameraucana or an EE?



Doesn't really matter either way because I'm keeping him...he's a lovely boy. I'm just curious...

No doubts he's an EE. Ameraucana can't have single combs... He's gorgeous!

His coloring is very close to BlWh but unfortunately his comb is a major disqualifier and an indicator that the breeding lines are not homozygous for pea comb yet and still need some refining.
