Hi,

I'm not exactly sure what you have there. It definitely looks to have some BW Ameraucana in it from the tail area but there also appears to be quite a bit of black. The wing feathers are confusing as is the confirmation. Plus it is lacking the muffs.

How old is this chick? Who is Gary? Is he listed on the ABC Breeder's List?

As for breeding it in the future, I would not recommend breeding a Blue to a Blue Wheaten. You would be crossing two completely different varieties and genetics would be a mess.

yes he is an abc member and it does have muffs just not very big (or not as fluffy as some of the others) but they are there but cant be seen well in pic.

when I looked at the pic of a blue wheaton on abc it looked to have the same colored legs, but I agree I did not see the black.

still really young though maybe it will grow out.

The Wheaten/Blue Wheaten leg color is pinkish as a chick but will turn to the grayish, slate-blue color as he or she gets older.
