That looks like a wood duck, not a blue-wing teal? Either way good luck with your duck.

This photo you have sure looks like a female wood duck. See the whit eye ring. Blue wing teal have a flatter beak at the end where the nail is also no eye ring. In my opinion that's a (Carolina duck) Wood duck, same thing.

I rescued a Blue Wing Teal hatchling last summer after running over & killing her Mom & siblings on the highway. Since then she is a house duck who is a wonderful & loving pet.

I agree with the others, that's a wood duck hen.
