I just got two new chicks... probably about six weeks old and the breeder said they are blue Wyandottes. I'm just wondering what they will look like? Right now they are completely black and he said that's how they are supposed to look. I thought Blue Wyandottes had lacing, so I'm confused.

Anyone have pics of adult Blue Wyandottes without lacing?

Are they bantams?

Here's a couple blue wyandotte bantams of mine:

Thank you for those pictures! One more question... how will I tell my Black Australorps from my blue (black) Wyandotte???

Quote:
Wyandottes have rose combs (broad, flat) and Australorps have single combs (like a sawtooth edge) Also, exhibition quality Wyandottes should be round and poofy looking, Australorps look like typical black chickens.
