blue

my roo is white but is the cross of the blue hen and white leghorn roo.And my hens are:whte but are sisters to the roo,and barred but are actually a cochin white crossed with barred.

Okay, so you have a cochinXleghorn paired with cochinXleghorns and cochinXbarred (barred what?)

Offspring of the first will be:

25% dominant white (II), 25% no dominant white (ii) and 50% split (Ii)

25% splash (BlBl), 25% not-blue (blbl) AND 50% blue (Blbl)

The 25% who are ii will show whatever blue genotype they inherited, the others will not.

From the 2nd pairing:

25% dominant white (II), 25% no dominant white (ii) and 50% split (Ii)

50% blue (Blbl) 50% not blue (blbl)

50% het. barred (Bb or B-) 50% not barred (bb or b-)

The 25% who are ii will show whatever blue and barring genotype they inherited, the II birds will show neither.

In either mating, the II and Ii birds may show some traces of blue/splash and or barring, as I is a leaky gene.
