Awesome job! did you do anything to treat the wood? If so what did you use?

I used a wood stain on the 2X4s and marine spar varnish on the pine panels. Left the interior of the coop untreated.

Hi! I spent a LONG time looking at coop after coop before I took the plunge with mine, and yours was one of the ones I cyber-stalked!

It's absolutely gorgeous! I'm also pretty sure yours was where I got the idea to go with clear corrugated roofing. It is working wonderfully for me, especially since my run is in a shady spot.

Really - THANK YOU for posting about your amazing coop. I kept coming back to people who posted step-by-step pics - it's what literally taught me how to go about building a coop.

Beautiful coop.
How are you liking the clear roofing material? I'm considering it for my run to provide light, but wonder if it will be too hot--no shady trees where we're placing our run.
