I sighed and headed up the ladder to the loft. I would need to some things from town anyway, but making a list would be helpful.

I smiled at Sarah, and scratched Curry's belly. He playfully rolled over, started kicking the air, and nailed me in the face. I touched the spot gingerly and moved out of range from his legs.
