i have 3 goose eggs in the bator due to hatch this thursday (this is day 27 of 31). anyways, i just candled and notice the edges of one of them is blurry and i can see the baby pushing against the blurred part. does this mean it is trying or already has broken into the air cell? how ling does this phase of hatching (breaking into the air cell) usually last?

that is a good sign! sounds like they are right on track. Usually they are like that for a few days and eventually the little body will totally fill up the air cell area. Which is the time they will externally pip You can stop candleing them now (hint hint)

Stop candling them?? BUT this is the most exciting part isn't it?! Really though, is there any harm in looking once a day?
