Bob white quail housing

I have 25 bob white quail I hatched that are 3 weeks old now. We have them brooding in a kiddie pool for the time being. I was wondering what size hutch and run would be sufficient for this many? Also has anyone had success with providing shelter food and water but letting them free roam on large acreage also but them knowing where their safe place is to come back to for food water and shelter?? We would love to be able to have them free in nature and enjoy Them that way but don’t want them to be someone’s lunch the first day out either

From what I've read, bbqbyou can't let them free range without expecting them all to get eaten or lost and die. What you can do is get a few calling stations and put 1 in each when you want them to be gathered and put them back. I would just build a pen with shelter if you don't want them cooped all the time
