Bobbi Porto silkie hatching eggs

Well, I have decided to order 2 dozen of eggs from Bobbi Porto. I know she is from Florida and I am from Louisiana. Is that to far to ship? I know the further you are the more shipping the eggs must go through. Have you ever ordered from her? What was your hatch rate, location, feed back, etc....... I hope I get a few chicks from her! I just want to know if she is reputable. Also, what were the quality of the chicks? Did any of your eggs even hatch? Does she resend eggs for the price of shipping if none even hatch? I hope I am making the right decision!

I've never had eggs shipped from her since I only live an hour away, but her Silkies are AMAZING. Most of the ones I have are ones I've picked up from her. You won't be disappointed in the quality...I can promise you that!

Shipped eggs average about a 50% hatch rate. More or less depending on the heat, cold and mood of the postal workers that week.
But, average 50%.

I had eggs shipped from Bobbi in Feb. Out of 24 eggs 18 went into lockdown and 14 hatched. I have 14 beautiful chicks from her!
They are amazing...you won't go wrong with eggs from Bobbi. Her silkies are some of the best in the US.
Good luck and I hope you are lucky enough to get some of her hatching eggs. Silkies like to go broody right around now.

What's going on with your current hatch? I saw your Brinsea post and i thought you would have chicks by now?

Yepp! Out of 20 eggs in the brinsea, 16 hatched and 15 made it. Pretty good if ya ask me!

Hey! I just put 17 Jersey Giant eggs into the bator- They came aaaaalllllllll the way to California from Bobbi Porto in FL. Its very early,(day 4) but I have seen at least one egg w/development. Bobbi has an awesome tract record, and her packaging is phenominal! I didnt have even 1 stress fracture in any eggshells. Now, I just have to wait 17 more days till hatch!!


I'd say go for it, oh and there are some people on here that have hatched her eggs, keep looking in the silkie or jersey giant breeds and genetics threads (try a post there) I bet you find them!
