My little opal legbar has what I think is splayed leg . I had to help her out of the shell , she was pipped in the wrong spot and was in the egg for over 24 hours. How do I fix it ? She’s really weak and doesn’t eat or drink on her own. I give her water with honey in it and raw egg yolk .

Good Morning, glad she made it. The leg doesn't look that bad but yes, a little off to the side. You can search for splayed and will find a number of results.

I put ours on corrugated cardboard, so it would have something to grasp when moving, instead of sliding. A towel could word also. My husband cut a piece of wood to fit in a box so the legs could not spread out.

Most will tape them, you can use a bandaid. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/splay-leg-and-spraddle-leg-treatment.78240/

I was having trouble with that, so used the narrow alley to keep her legs together.
The pics show how far his legs were splayed and the alley we made.
