Wow shes pretty! Before I had ducks I would have been thrilled to see a bobcat around but after having ducks and seeing what predators do to them, its hard to look at these beautiful predators the same way.

The pool/run area is still in the works. I am not good with calculating footage, so I will ask my husband. We recently had a hawk kill one of our runner ducks so we have turned it into sort of an aviary. There is rabbit wire along the top of the frame to protect them. I will take pictures of it this evening.

If you look at the video today I have moved the camera to a spot where you can see where we have the pools draining out to our garden on the other side of the fence!

the blue tarp is temporarily in place around the little tree so they won't fall into the gap and harm their legs. we still have a lot of work to do, and a need another load of pea gravel. We are going to be on coop tour in May...so we are hustling!

I love the motion sprinkler idea. I saw a frog one at Disney it got me wet.
People use these all the time to deter raccoons from stuff like Koi ponds and trash cans, I don't see why it wouldn't be an effective deterrent to anything that doesn't enjoy getting squirted with a stream of cold water without warning. My husband's buddy has some "trail cams" set up for low light shooting that have motion detectors. I think I'll set them up in the yard once we have the ducks to see what kind of interest they end up stirring up.
