bobwhite chicks eating each other

does any one have this problem and know how to fix it? they mostly peck the legs on other bobwhites, and the beaks on other baby quail.

If you have them all crowded in, they are going to tear each other up. If they are of breeding age, they need to be paired off and separated. And do not mix different age groups.

You can mix different color varieties of bobwhites, they are all bobwhites. You can put bobwhites of any coloring together, but you can't mix them with coturnix, mountains, ext. I had one TN red out of a batch of GA Giant eggs and he was fine until he went to camp kenmore.

Bobwhites eating each other. That sounds about right from what I recall of my experience with them almost 20 years ago.

Try Coturnix instead, not nearly the problems with aggression.

DEPRIVE THEM OF WHITE/BLUE LIGHT--- MOVE THEM INDOORS IN A DARK AREA AND GIVE THEM RED LIGHT FOR WARMTH DURING BROODING

ALSO NEVER EVER GIVE THEM MEAL WORMS UNTIL FULL GROWN, AND THEY NEED GAMEBIRD STARTER WITH 28-30% PROTIEN... INSUFFICIENT USEABLE PROTIEN WILL CAUSE CANIBALISM
