Bobwhite finally laying eggs

After waiting and waiting my bobwhites finally started laying eggs.Does anyone know why they took

long,I thought they were supost to lay april 1.

i dont know what state you live in but it's more than likely because of nature/spring weather. My one pen of coturnix just finanlly started laying nicely.....they've only been laying like 2 weeks now.

My understanding is that bobwhite only lay in the spring. I got my first egg out of my 3 females today!!!

I don't know which one laid it but it is soooooooooooooo pretty!!!!
