Bobwhite went broody

My bobwhite went broody and I was told this is not normal, she has been doing a great job and the eggs are getting close to hatching, I'm new at this and was told to take the chicks and put under a heat lamp when the hatch. Should I let her take care of them or use a heat lamp?

I would definitely let mama do her thing.... if she becomes aggressive or abandons her chicks, then definitely use a brooder. I have the best of luck with raising chicks with mama! Good luck with your hatch! Post pix and keep us posted!
