I currently have about 80 northern Bobwhite quail and I am in love with these picky, unique birds....in the spring, I am wanting to expand with another strain of the bobwhite and was thinking about some Georgia Giants or Jumbos. What would you guys and girls recommend ?

I am also wanting a few snowflake bobs for their beauty !!!

I assume these birds are the same as my little northerns ??

thanks,

I have some Tennessee Red's & they have been easy. Haven't noticed them being aggressive, but then again, I've only had them about 3 months.

to those who sell and flight train bob whites ....how old are they when you sell them and how old when you begin the flight training?

From 0 - 6 weeks, the bobs are fed a high protein GBS of 28% - 30% protein. When they reach 6 weeks of age, the protein is lowered to 20% - 24%. They need to be kept in a large aviary or a flight pen of large size so they can develop good flight muscle.

You can start selling them around 14-16 weeks of age, or anytime before the next breeding season.
