Boil below the Vent, do I lance and drain it?

Butters is 9 and doesn't get around much. I do get her out to walk but she does sit alot. She has this boil under her vent. There is a knot inside going to it. Its very red. Butters also had a Staph infection. He accumulated alot of fluid in her body. Heavy doses of Batyril seemed to take care of it. She has been off now for almost 2 weeks. Shes starting back to feeling tight and full, breathing with mouth open again, struggling to walk. Could this boil be the cause of her infection? Should i try to draw some out? Sorry for the poor photo, she was not being helpful right out of a bath. I do not have access to a Vet remotely competent with birds. Thanks

If that is just at the vent opening, it could be a prolapse. Could you get a more clear picture showing the vent opening?

No it is a good inch below the vent. Her vent is fine. She is getting heavy again so i did the finger check for egg bound. She lays maybe once a year.

First picture is of her vent, second is that boil. She doesnt like it touched at all. It is a good inch below her vent

Could this be the source of her infection? If i was to draw fluid out of that (not the abdomen) do i need to numb it somehow first? What size needle would i use? I have 22G 1.5 inch. Slowly insert while drawing back the syringe until i get fluid?

I got 68mg Baytril pills. Shes 5 pounds. Im figuring half pill a day, broken up morning than evening? If it is the Staph infection coming back than a max dose may be needed. Meloxicam 7.5 pills. Quarter pill a day.

She is pooping. She is eating but its less. Shes usually a very healthy eater. Respiration is up, slight opening of the mouth. Belly feels hot to me. Not sure how to take chicken temp. She is acting clingy and wants to be held a lot.
