Bold spots on chicks

I have a 8 day old chick that is,going bold on back. Others say its pin feathers coming in. After a closer look, its,bold spots, no growth at all. What could this be? Attached are 2 photos

It could just be a molt. Chicks go through several molts as they mature.
Don't be overly concerned unless they become lethargic or otherwise sick.

Do you have any other chicks with it? How is it behaving? Is it eating and pooping ok?

That's an odd spot for a 9 day old chick to be bald.
Is it being picked at by the other chicks?
