Molt under 3 months old?

I’m new too. My babies are a bit further along. I remember the first time I realize there were feathers everywhere. It was a molt. There’s also the time we were worried a certain chick was being bullied. It was a molt.

They’re molting right now at around 20 weeks. My biggest question is what to do with all the feathers. Throw them in the regular trash or compost. Admittedly I’ve been too busy (and lazy) to dive into that one.

I have been cleaning coop and brooder raking run area just piling it all where my garden didn't get planted this year for spring tilling see if it helps.

If you gather the feathers and have a compost pile, use them in the compost. I'd much rather use something instead of sending it to the landfill. It's friendlier to the environment.
