"It is Erin! A mountain lion!" River started to Erin
~
"Because her friend was murdered! Now i`m going to help her!" odo snapped following River

Star followed them. She had to. These aliens were her responsibility. They didn't seem bent on destruction, at least not yet. Abductees still rang in her head, though. How many children had they stolen? They must be lost in here... oh, no. Oooh, no. That lion. What if it had one of the kids?

She flew past the group toward the sound. Just because those kids were on Earth didn't mean that they were home. Their homes could be halfway across the globe, for all she knew!

Seeker took back her bargain piece and tied it back on, letting out a sigh of relief.

Star blinked. "Seriously," she said in her most honest tone, "you have to be mistaking me for someone else. I don't have a sister. But if the bargain holds, you can not call me... that name. It's important. Believe me."

She turned and took a few steps away and begun pacing, trying to end the conversation. She wasn't completely sure that she had no siblings. There was a lot she didn't remember. Like her mother's face. Or her father's voice.

Now. How to do this. The ship is completely obliterated. She thought, using another fanciful book word. Maybe she had rushed into this. She had absolutely no clue how to get them back.

Maybe maybe, she could hitch them on the next flight to the moon, but who knew when that would be. It wouldn't be far enough, anyway. Yep, I'm screwed.

The boy had mentioned that the other girl could also fly, but carrying them was out of the question. Unless someone had a rocket, but it would still take years to get... wherever it was they were going. A rocket. That's it.

She turned to Ezor, "what do you need to build a rocket? A good one? I have the resources, the publicity. I can get you what you need."

Star glanced over her shoulder.
"While I appreciate your offer, there is no need for that. Before our ship blew up, I sent out a distress call to the other planets. It may be a while until they send help to bring us back to our home so we really just need you to keep us hidden from the public for now. Maybe you can tell the reporters some story about us leaving?" He said with a grin.

He turned to the sound as well and followed the group carefully, hand gripping his gun. What is this talk about a lion? Ezor was pretty clueless about the creatures of this planet.

"We are trying to find that out now. Sure you can come" Odo said

Great, Star thought, now I've got to get four butts to a planet five billion lightyears away. What could be worse? She couldn't let them see that she didn't have a way. The rocket was a stupid idea. Any fool could think that up. This was waaay over her head. Humans haven't traveled past their own moon, let alone to distant galaxies.

"Look, it's getting late. We can make camp in one of these caves-"

Suddenly, a scream broke out. Star had never been so happy to hear that in her entire life. "By, the way, where is that girl that came out of your ship screaming bloody murder?"

Erin stared up at the mountain lion. Atlanta had stopped her just in time. The cat landed not inches from them, teeth bared.

She cracked a smile. It seemed tiny compared to Patches- her breath caught. Now is not the time to start crying! She told herself.

She shuffled away, glancing to the girl. "Thanks." She said, her voice slightly shaky. She drew her weapon.

Solana listened to the words pass between them all as she put her whip back on her hip and approached the group. When Ezor mentioned that he had sent out a distress call before blowing the ship up she let out a re-leaved breath. Good then all they had to do was wait, but they also could not plan on who would come for them, friend or foe?

She was about to open her mouth to say something when they all heard the scream. Her hand went to her hip where her weapons were holstered. When it was confirmed to be Erin and that there was a mountain lion she shook her head. For the love of everything holy, a mountain lion!? What else was going to happen, was a volcano going to erupt near them? Could her day possibly get any stranger? As the others set off in the direction of Erin to help she followed behind the rest. She was a part of this group now, for better or worse.

(You know it almost feels like River and Odo fit better together then River and Ezor. Then again I haven't really gotten a feel for all the characters yet. Tell you what though this is turning out to be one crazy day for these guys. :lau )

Erin pulled out her weapon. Not the shank, but her neuralizer. She pointed it at the cat, and it flashed. "You is goot kitty." She said. "You no eats hoomans," Then she glanced at Ezor, "or Melæians."

Atalanta looked around nervously, asking Erin "Where do we go so we can leave?"

Erin glanced around at the group, shocked faces all. "What?"

Then she noticed Star, "Oh, I see you brought my friend, too. Nice." She said.

Atalanta looked around nervously, asking Erin "Where do we go so we can leave?"

Erin stared at her. "You really want to come with us?" She said. She flipped her hair, regaining a little of her natural flair. "I mean, we are pretty awesome, but..."

Then she seemed to remember something. "Guys. I heard an explosion earlier. Please tell me it wasn't our stuff that exploded?"

Star glared right back at Erin.
Six. Make that six butts I have to hide. Star thought. Well, at least everyone was okay. "We can break camp in the next valley. It's not far, but it's more comfortable than this-" she pulled a cactus thorn out of her shin. "We'll have to make a fireless camp so we don't attract any unwanted attention."

She thought back to her aunt. What would she think when she didn't come home? Star shook her head. Maybe she could fly back under cover of darkness and leave a note on the fridge or something. She didn't want to leave these guys long.

Then again, she needed to search for those kids and get them in front of the cameras before they left. That would be the easiest way to tell their parents where they were.
