Bonito (Fish) Flakes as a Protein Source

I was looking for a supplemental protein source other than canned cat food because I didn't want to attract other animals, so I gave our girls some Bonito flakes and they loved them! I mixed the flakes lighlty into their grit so they don't blow away.

If you have access to an Asian market Bonito flakes are cheap, easy to find and they last for years. Petco also sells fish flakes in the cat treats section and maybe even fish food might work as well.

No not at all - a big bag of bonito flakes is maybe $3 and about the size of medium bag of pototato chips:

It's pure protein!
