Good morning from the Haute Vienne in France.
I'm a newbie to BYC and very happy to be part of the flock.. thanks for adding me.
I have 2 new egg layers and 4 young Orpingtons, I thought I was buying 3-4 week old but when hubby bought them home there was 1 at 1 week old and 3 at 2 week old so ive been waiting patiently to see what sex they will be.. I asked for 3 girls and a boy (from a different batch) I have a bad feeling I have more like 3 boys if not 4.. I shall have a go at taking pictures for those members hopefully in the know at how to sex by looking at them.

Hello and welcome to BYC - I hope that the gender experts will be able to help you out, once you've posted your pics.

Best wishes
Ct

Really it's best to wait till about 6 weeks old to try and sex them. The folks at "what breed or gender is this." are very good but not clairvoyant.
Having said that your dark chick seems to have a lot of comb for such a young age - possibly a cockerel. Can't see the heads on the others in the photo.
