my two duck that i have raised since they were 3 days old dont give me anymore attention..i miss them...they left the greenhouse and decided to go live at the pond with the other two ducks...well they used to come back and visit..but not no more...they dont even come out of the water to the chicken coop like they used to to get some treats...and when i feed them by the pond they act like they r affraid of me...boohooo.....i think im having mommy withdrawal...lol....

yes there will be ducks again next spring...ill be getting hopefully 10 chicks next weekend...got a broody hen sitting on them...maybe next spring she will go broody and ill put some duck eggs under her...

I told my husband this afternoon that I needed to get one more duck. But it will have to be an indoor duck. Because the two dachsunds sit on his lap when he is home, and the six (outdoor) ducks want nothing to do with me (No matter what I have done to try to get them to be friendly - I am still the ugly, big, scary human who feeds them twice a day, cleans up after them, and brings them treats), because they have other ducks.

He brought the dogs over and put them on my lap......

Understand the empty nest syndrome.....literally and figuratively!
