DH, who has been deployed many times now since 2001, hates fireworks. Thankfully in our area, they were mostly made illegal a few years back due to the drought, and they've never changed that back to what it was before. Really, only one family likes them anyways, and since the sheriff HATES fireworks more than DH (he saw many many fires start from them) AND lives across the road from us, the idiots light the fireworks, the sheriff goes over, they are done for the year.
