No problem LOL. I really should watch that movie again sometime soon!
Mrszlopez, I haven't mentioned the name of the sanctuary because I don't want to get involved with the whole legal struggle they are all having right now, but I will say it is in central Jersey. Seems like the owner is a bit "sue happy" and has threatened to sue many of my friends for things they said on the internet. Nothing ever came of it, but the stress alone was terrible! I somewhat feel like my friends should just leave all this mess behind them, but they are so compassionate that they just cannot. (That's not a bad thing, its just frustrating!) Several of them are putting tons of money towards this sanctuary just so the birds can have some water and food at least once during the week, but I can't see how she will be afford to pay so much for much longer.
Its an extremely sad situation. If anyone is interested, I can PM you the website of the bird sanctuary. The owner does allow visitors and I urge anyone who can to go see for yourself. There is also a link to a thread on a rescue website that talks about the sanctuary. I could also PM that as well. I think if we get enough people in on this, the commotion it could stir for the SPCA would be enough to have our voices heard.
