boorder lamp

Try the 60, place a thermometer on the floor of the brooder right underneath where the lamp will be shedding the light and warmth and see what the reading is, should read 95 degrees where the light looks down. Enough space in your brooder that the chicks can get away from the heat if they need too. If nothing else put a 75 watt in and try.

you can get aheat lamp and bulb from walmart! or any feed store shoud carry them. if not use the lamp you got and place two brick like the small red ones in side your box and the bricks will hold the heat from the lamp and help keep them warm! but make sure its not to hot in there or you will cook them!
