Bored chickens

I'm worried about my chickens during the day. We leave them in their coop during the day due to predators and because they will destroy our garden. I'm worried that they might be bored though (am I crazy

) it's quite a small space and I'd like to give them some sort of enrichment but they don't sell toys for chickens that I know of. Any ideas?

I think a much better investment is constructing a run. Access to an outdoor space will entertain much better than anything you put in a coop to "play" with.

I have to do the same thing when km gone. Hawks are what's getting our chicken's. If you give them something to peck at like cabbage hanging from string or corn cobs thay should do it for awhile. If your gone to long for that mabye make the run bigger

That looks big enough for them to stay in as long as they have grass and stuff to peck at. I would put some corn on the corn out for them or some water melon slices. They love it and it takes awhile for them to eat it so it will keep them busy
