Boric acid suppositories for vent gleet/enteritis?

I have a pullet with vent gleet in conjunction with enteritis; I’ve seen boric acid suppositories sold to treat women’s yeast infections. I’m thinking of maybe trying it for my pullet?

I honestly don't know. I do remember reading somewhere about someone who was going to try monistat suppositories but I don't know the outcome.
