BOSS or Scratch?

Do chickens eat the BOSS shell and all or does it come shelled? I've thought of giving my girls some but worried that they wouldn't know how to shell them.

Im using purina layena crumbles, w some flock raiser (soon to b gone ) and adding cracked corn about 50% as its getting cold at night , and adding in a mix of wild bird food w boss in it . Is this a goo diet ? i also give veggies and friut , My concern is they dont seem to be eating much ,but wait to be let out to range and run all over the yard eating stuff !!
