Boss (my rooster, only 18 weeks), is trying to crow but it sounds awful because it doesn't know how to crow yet, but he will catch on eventually!!!
Can't wait till he starts to crow properly!!

my hubby does a terrific imitation of one of our roosters when he started to crow. He would start off nice and strong but just as he was at the end it sounded like he was a deflating balloon!
Enjoy and congratulations!

They can sound really funny when they first start. Of course, if you want funny sounding, you should have heard a Bantam Cochin chick I had. I don't remember his exact age, but he was still in the brooder, so maybe 4 weeks? It sounded somewhere between a giggle and a squeak!

Ha ha, I love hearing them crow when they don't know how!
