Good Evening Cafe! How time flies. My life has been busier than normal and being flockless at the moment, I haven't been frequenting BYC as I once did. Buoy and Salt (the Jacks) are still doing well and I'm out on the water with whales regularly. I'll try to check in a bit more often, though I might not be here daily. Here's a cute photo from my field season working with pilots this summer.

Today is food run day, finish getting the pond ready for the beginning of winter and clean the house.

Button is still laying. Off for a week, then one every other day for 2-3 eggs. 50 days until the solstice, and then I can start thinking about/hoping for the girls to get back to work. Yes, I'm buying eggs for now.

I'm dreading tomorrow. I'm going to start looking online for insurance for next year. Hubby and I are both retired, so we have to find our own. I'm 15 months away from Medicare, hubby another 11 months after that. Well, IF it's still available at 65 by the time we are that age.
