BYC Café

Good Evening Cafe! How time flies. My life has been busier than normal and being flockless at the moment, I haven't been frequenting BYC as I once did. Buoy and Salt (the Jacks) are still doing well and I'm out on the water with whales regularly. I'll try to check in a bit more often, though I might not be here daily. Here's a cute photo from my field season working with pilots this summer.

What a charmed life you have made for yourself :hugs

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

Today is food run day, finish getting the pond ready for the beginning of winter and clean the house.

Have a great first day of November! Eek! (already!?)

I'm dreading tomorrow. I'm going to start looking online for insurance for next year. Hubby and I are both retired, so we have to find our own. I'm 15 months away from Medicare, hubby another 11 months after that. Well, IF it's still available at 65 by the time we are that age.

Morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee! It's raining cats and dogs here. I'm just about to take a drive into the big city (aka Vancouver) to pick up a piece of art - a Christmas gift for my parents.

This weekend is mainly focused on writing a large grant for pilot whale research. We now have a small flock of black Welsh mountain sheep on the property, along with our old standardbred horse and an umbrella cockatoo (a rescue from many years ago when I was a kid).

Years ago I had a double yellow headed amazon. The owner had been murdered. He thought my voice matched his daughter's.
He hated my spouse it was funny to me.
I had him about 5 years then the daughter took him.
Thanks for the memory of him.
Time to put my big girl britches on.
