My girls all go *meh* when I throw boss at them. However, they go nuts, especially Lulu (buff orpington) when I split them (they're soft) with my fingernail. She bites first, asks questions later.

BOSS stands for Black Oil Sunflower Seed. It's smaller than the grey stripey kind, softer shell. They eat it shell and all. GOOD for their feathers - makes 'em all shiny!

It really does make them shiny! I started giving several handfulls of BOSS out everyday about 2 months ago. Since then my 19 week olds have had perfect and shiny feathers, almost like someone brushed oil on them!
