Boston? or around there?

I was thinking about going in with a friend, but I've decided to order from My Pet Chicken again. You can get as few as three chicks, and I am quite happy with the 6 I already got from them. (You have to pay extra for the little heater thing that goes in the shipping box when you order just three.) I'm thinking about Salmon Faverolles this time.

I brought my girls in tonight. They are back in the basement for tonight and tomorrow. I thought I'd sleep better this way, but here I am at 3 AM.

6.3°F was the low temp this morning here (at 7:01 am - according to my weather station). BRRRRRR! The wild birdies haven't even tried to come to the feeder yet. I figure if a chickadee can make it through that outdoors, unprotected, then chickens with shelter should do all right.

I put my plant soil warmer mat into the chicken house tonight and ran a loooonnng electric cord out to it. Don't know if that will do anything or not. Let's hope it gets warmer tomorrow, but fast. 50's on Mon.!!! it's really crazy this year.

Patsy Cline is beautiful lily chick. Our tree is still up also, no one has even mentioned taking it down yet

Would anyone in New England (I'm in Southern NH) want to go in on a "small" order from http://www.countryhatchery.net/chickens.html
The
minimum is 15 chicks and they seem to have a good selection, and you can order pullets, so I guess the odds are better than straight run!!! I just want a little more color!!! DH is willing to try broilers to fill up an order, but having never cooked chicken from anywhere but the store, it makes me a bit nervous!

hey anyone near me have an extra BO roo up grabs
