I got an Araucana. Orpington, Wyandotte and the other one is either a leg horn or a Rhode Island Red. So hopefully if all goes well we will get a dozen eggs in the future. My 8 others are thriving! They love their coop and all the fun perches we added for them so they can look out the windows. We screened and chicken wired the windows so they won't be so bothered by mosquitos. They love raisons and fresh corn on the cob...yep they are already spoiled! I need to add the pictures of the little coop so far...the only thing left to do is paint and seal the wood. I had fun designing it...and its very functional thanks to all of the people who have posted theirs before. I paid particular attention to the I wish I hads...and added stuff in , Our coop is tall. and I can stand up straight in it, it has sweep out on the back side so it can be swept into a bucket or small lawn trailer. We recycled everything we could into it, which gave it an unique charm. Our neighbors couldn't figure out what we were building...we have been thrilled that so many of them have stopped and said they just love it! Its great to have awesome neighbors!
