Any help on what we have or if they are roos or hens. It would be greatly appreciated. We were thinking we could learn as we go. Had to buy 6. They were all pullets. Thought that meant the breed. Got home and googled and got confused. I enjoy them greatly and my husband built a huge coop for them. The bad thing is they all have roo characteristics and we aren't aloud to have them in our town. So now I'm worried. Especially with the first white chicken. It has the largest comb.

I bought mine their too.also got pullets.mine are about 16 weeks old.they look just likeyours. the white ones have a much bigger comb and wattle than the brown ones.one of the white ones laid a egg yesterday.really small though.from your pics they look just mine. was told red sex link & tetra tint links.so I think you got pullets.tell me what kind you bought.

We were told ours are pullets. Which I thought was the breed but pullets are the gender. We got red pullets and white ones. What I have been reading is that it is hard to sex them when they are little. Also a lot of people say they ended up with them mixed hens and roos. If we have roos we have to get rid of them in our township :o(

We found these this morning. They are super small compared to the ones in the fridge.
They are 2 different sizes when placed next to each other.

When chickens start laying they sometimes lay tiny eggs, some people call them "fart eggs" lol. I was going to buy some chicks at TS but they were all mixed together and no one there knew anything about chickens so I passed, didn't want to end up with a meat bird or something.
