I have built my own (two of 'em), bought a coop kit, AND had one built for me. The best coop is the one a professional carpenter and coop-building expert constructed. I could NOT have done as well. The coops I built serve their purposes, and I'm very proud of them, but I am construction challenged when it comes to framing and some finer touches. Those I built are basic buildings. So I didn't mind paying for the expertise and labor as well as the materials. Oh, as well as having it done much more quickly than *I* could have completed something nowhere near as functional. That alone was worth it!
I think you made an excellent decision. That's a great coop.
