Bought pekins but they are getting brown

I bought these cuties thinking they are pekins I have the buff one and all the others are getting brown on them as they get older??

Ether genetic defect , or may not be a Pekin (I have never herd of anything other than white pekins)

Love the dog the dark one looks Khaki Campbell to me, the reat seem plausible as pekins, i don’t remember mine looking much different, but maybe it is the light? Maybe your cedar shavings are having an effect?

make sure you are offering them a water dish deep enough to dunk their entire heads in, I can't tell for sure by the picture but it kind of looks like some gunk has built up around their eyes, also I have heard cedar shavings are bad for basically all animals so I would switch to Pine if possible, Pine is usually cheaper too.

Looks to me that they are just dirty. Be sure to let them swim around and dunk in like what solar duck said. I'm pretty sure they will lighten up right after that. When my pekins start getting brown like that I let them go for a swim and "bathe" themselves

The one completely brown one is a khaki campbell but the other four are pekins (just dirty little babies)

If you are using cedar I would switch that out asap. The natural aromatic oils in cedar are very irritating for sensitive avian respiratory systems. Aspen is generally thought of to have the least scent and be the safest wood for small animals.

Thank you that's all my store had at the time and in needed more shavings they get baths often and they are all getting a brown color on them I'll post pictures later
