HappyMtn, thanks for the sweet compliments. Unfortunately, I'm not very chicken savvy yet. I have no plans to do any kind of breeding any time soon. Who knows what the future may bring, though. Last year at this time, I would have laughed if someone told me that this year I would be raising Yak.
I agree with you about pups. I have my Goldendoodle, and she's my best friend. Hubby and I had kind of toyed with the idea of getting her a playmate, and we were leaning toward a larger sheep-type dog like yours. We have sheep now, too, so one of those herd pups would be cool. Macy needs a sister, I think. Hubby's not convinced yet.
