Bought the wrong starter

I have 4 day old chicken chicks. I just noticed i bought 24 percent gamebird starter for them. Is it possible to thin the feed with cornmeal or something to make it more appropriate for chick starter.

Some people feed 24% game bird starter to their chicks by choice. If I have turkeys with the chicks I do too, but normally I use 20% protein Starter for the first month or so.

As you consider it a problem, get a 15% or 16% Grower and mix it to get an average of around 20%. Just make sure it is not a Layer feed with the high calcium content. You want the calcium content to be closer to 1% than 4%.
