bought wrong feed

i've been feeding my chicks dumor 20% starter well went to the store and grabbed 24% starter does it really matter?

Yeah, I think it does....sounds like you got gamebird starter, and 24% protein is a little high. I'm feeding my cornish crosses 22% protein, which is 4% higher than regular chick starter out here. That's about the max, though....did u open the bag???? If not, u should see if tractor supply will take it back/exchange it for the stuff u need. Sorry!!!

no i haven't opened it yet i'll go and try to exchange it. thank you
