Box-grown pea.

Hi, I have to show off Some time ago i decided to make a small garden with things like pea, beets, chives, spinach and carrot. The problem was it was too late for planting (at least everybody said that). Especially for pea. Everything started to grow but to my surprise the pea has grown pea pods! Probably because it's hot lately and the box is in a sunny place. Well, tbh only pea, chives and spinach looks like it's going to be eaten in "traditional" way lol. The leaves of carrot and beets are probably going to end up in rabbits/chickens stomach Next year gotta find a deeeeeeper box and try planting things like radish too!

the soil's poor but grandpa's going to buy peat and lime :d I can take pictures tomorrow

The peat will help for sure!
Lime corrects soil acidity so will help if correction is needed.

Nice little garden. Here, our seed packets indicate peas can be sown in early spring and then again in the late summer/fall. Glad yours is producing!

The beets look good.

I find carrots to take forever to grow - it seems like it anyway. So, I just plant them amongst the tomatoes and beans, and when I am ready to pull out the main plant (tomatoes or beans), I happily find some carrots! Sometimes, the carrots stay behind and get to grow a bit longer, but at least by then, they have grown quite a bit and have decent foliage, so the roots will grow pretty well. I planted a fall crop of green beans and beets, and tossed some carrots amongst them - not sure if the roots will develop much. The seeds were planted about a month ago, and green beans are developing!

We planted green beans in the main garden maybe a month ago too and they have flowers now, so soon there will be beans. Our other green beans still produce beans (they were planted at the start of season, maybe a month later lol)

Got another 3 crates like these and gotta try planting potatoes in bags the next year :d
