I currently have two nest boxes roughly 12by15in. Are they large enough for my 2 large wyandotte to lay eggs in or should a add a larger box just for them?

That should be big enough. Why only 2 dimensions, are they open on the top, can you post a pic?

I have Black Australorp ladies, big breed, this is what I made for their nesting boxes...they're big girls!



I used 2 18-gallon tubs, without lids, and for the lid some 1/4" birch ply (very lightweight) and two hinges...works great!

The top is a flip up design. I believe they are 18in tall. I will double check tonight

That sounds good....they need a front piece about 4 inches high on the bottom to hold the bedding....and eggs..... from being scratched out.

Ok the entrance with lip on front is 12by15in on both boxes and boxes are 12in deep and 18in tall
