Box Turtle’s Eye

I’ve got a rescue box turtle that has some white pus-like substance coming out of her eye. The eye also stays closed most of the time, but she can open it. I can’t afford a vet, but want to know if y’all have any ideas on how to help her?

I would apply antibiotic ointment to the eye. There appears to be a lesion of some sort on the lower right eyelid. Box turtles are frequently parasitized by bot flies - that does not quite look like the case here.
