I am full of questions!

I got 6 "pullets" from a feed store on father's day (June 19th). They were all fuzzy with no feathers yet. They informed me that I had 2 red ones, 2 yellow ones and 2 black ones when I asked what breed of chicken they were... sigh.

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated.

Here are my "ladies" today:

And now my "lady" Princess. Is it possible she is just older than the other ladies? She is the biggest, has the most pronounced comb, is the only one with wattles, is super attentive to me and very friendly:

Thanks so much for all your help!!!

You have 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Barred Rock, and 2 Red sex-links (or Red Stars as some call them). I agree- Princess looks like a roo. BUT- if she's a red sex-link- she couldn't be. Maybe they are New Hampshire Reds instead of sex-links?

I'll chime in with my opinion...

The "black ones" are barred rocks. The lighter of the two is most likely a rooster, based on the color, I cant see its head.

The "red ones" are production reds. They look like pullets.

The "yellow ones" are probably buff rocks, might be New Hampshires. The rooster has some black showing in his tail. A rooster based on the comb and wattle size and the color of the legs, and a hen. Might be buff orps, but I'm not really familar with them.

Gotta love the knowledgable help in the farm stores..

"Thems there's black ones. They's nicer'n them ol' red an yellar 'ns."
