Hey so now Crispy is 8 weeks and three days old. I am still trying to work out if it is a boy or a girl but having so many difficulties. So I have added a video of crispy chirping and peeping I wondered if this is a raspy boy or the beginning of a little quack coming out?


I would love to hear your suggestions and thoughts!!

You could have a male. It's hard to tell from this short video. Does he have any feathers on his tail that curl?

No not yet. hes not 8 weeks yet but he does have a green head and back of his neck? not sure if females have this also.

He has only just got his first plumage. i say he lol

If he's starting to develop green head feathers and continues with the raspy quack, then you have a male. The ladies are loud and proud.

I thought that as he is very quite and just peeps a lot and makes that sound.
I have had no sign of a proper quack yet
